Realizing

I’ve been pondering
When the realization hit
Seems my responses grew warmer
Or was it when your replies came
Applauding with a constant force
I realize now just where I’m at
But way back then I didn’t know that

Perhaps I thought
‘Twas the accumulation
The avalanche of poems
We soon were writing
The unspoken dedication
My alpha and omega
That you’ve now become
Was snowballed in that crushing fall
Of crystal words that left me numb

But then the thought occurred to me
As I wrote these words so free
That I was being selfish so
To claim your words alone did glow
Perhaps you’ll claim that you fell first
As all my flakes upon you burst
And demurely paced until
I laid my heart upon your sill

What brew intoxicating so
Did by its very fragrance flow
Into my brain relax defenses
Breech each one of my tall fences
Well I know now my brain’s a muddle
Spilled on sidewalk like a puddle
Each cell is yours, each nerve alert
As my eyes register each word spurt
From your pen into my eyes
Look therein I can’t disguise

As I reread your flowing phrases
I’ve near run out of sufficient praises
To rhapsodize and thus concur
With greater poets replying blur
So deep in love I find myself
Worry do you really love this elf
Tis with amazement I acknowledge
Your love words in poetic collage

I heard your voice, heard you read
I lost all power to secede
If any such thought been entertained
With just your heart and I’d been brained
Down I fell within your pull
Strong and gravitational
I can only say sensational
And yet I hoped inspirational

There’s you, there’s me and now a we
I’m filled with an unbelievable
Sense of glee
My vocabulary’s in a foreign realm
Unaccustomed love is at the helm
On sunny waters our ship sails smooth
I can’t believe there’s no more to prove

I remember when you first allowed
My feelings did not cause you cowed
But pleased and made you smile anew
Twas like a bolt out of the blue

So now I memorize and turn
Each phrase you speak as so I yearn
That we could share each waking moment
For each breath I draw diverts my mind
To a love I've found to which I bind
Myself forever - it's unsurpassed
Just to you  'twill make me content
When I am bedding Or arising
You're all I love - I'm realizing

Excellent Bill ... I love how you brought this full circle ...
your rhyme dances with sincerety
and I liked the way this built up in pace as I read...
leading to the sweet poeticness of that last line
WAY COOL
later-realizing youre in love-gator

You write with such poetic grace
You smother kisses on my face
You swim vocabulary's pool
That drips with sweet of honey's drool
You conjure up poetic phrase
That leaves me gawking in amaze
And then on top of all of this
You give each one another kiss

This is beautiful

One voice one heart
one single word
Thats all it takes
for love to be heard
One moment one thought
one memory to share
To tell her you love her
let her know that you care
Your poems a pleasure
a joy to behold
Hearing your love songs
watching your love unfold
Kiss her quick but
make it slow
And most of all sir
NEVER LET HER GO
