The setting sun
Casts a rainbow sheen
Upon the windswept valley
Blanketed by light snow
Such comfort…

I let the colors
Engulf my starved senses
As I cry out my agonizing grief
Lonely as the moonlight
I mourn myself.

Lifting up my
Tear-glazed eyes, I find
That there is much more to life.
I know I can move on.
I will survive.

Poetic Enchantress,

Wonderful writing.  Full of emotion and pain.  I hope this helps you to purge it and move on.  Here is my title suggestion . . . Awakening.  For it seems you have found life has much to offer.

Welcome to Passions.

Thank ya much, LW!  That's an awesome suggestion.  And yes, I've slowly come to the realization that life does have something worthwhile to look forward to...

I have to say that I felt the second staza was the most powerful part for me. The entire piece is very good, but that part really grabbed me.

well done.

This was written from the soul. Though short and full of rainbow colors, this verse has an impact. You write very emotionally.
