Between the Lines

The Last

In porcelained surround, I lay
thru window glass, the glean
of crystal arms from bending trees
and skies the clearest scene

Calls to me in heated warmth,
the cold of winter blues.
I try despite the sadness felt
to spring my thoughts towards you.

But failing in the fall of words
from summers memories
a seasons passed, more years than two
had felt a fit, with ease.

Yet stretched am I beyond belief
pulled opposite the more,
the empty feels from words unheard
what's left, I am not sure.

Indifference, silence, echoes strong
perhaps, maybe, somedays,
Lost once again, in "never shall be's"
hope hibernates, delays.

Someday, perhaps, maybe I'll see
the end to sadness, mine.
But for the now just coat me pale
with wynter ghosts last rhyme.

This, without a doubt, is beautiful.

Much **APPLAUSE**.

beautiful. You have the knack!

Wynter~
Most beautifully stated.
With 'hope in hibernation' ...
let's hope for an early Spring !
