In Walkabout

Grey Wombat waddles
in Walkabout through a field...
stops to smell a rose-
there greeted by butterfly
who descends onto his nose

Just goes to show you how wonderful and beautiful life can be if only we take a moment to give it a chance.  Great read and very uplifting.  Thank you.

Delightful!  So do ya live thereabouts, or have you just visited.  That is one of my dream trips, to see Australia.  Ever since high school, at least, thats almost 40 years ago.

"seeing" is the poets greatest asset, followed closely by listening and feeling. So continue to see, hear, and feel, my friend...
Your poem is wonderfully done.

"When one sees
but never saw,
touches,
but never feels,
hears,
but only sound,
one knows life,
but doesn't live.
But when one loves,
it's with his soul he sees,
his heart he touches,
and his life he hears.
It's all the glory,
and the sorrow,
the joy's,
and the pain,
the fullness of everything
that has ever been..."
(from Because Of You)
