The sun shines bright Warming my heart Lighting my soul Dissipating the dark That blocked my goal The demon that hunted The bounty within Has left me to be Whole once again No longer running From here to there I am able to rest Renewing my strength Finally passing this test It was never easy To be in this place Where I’d always see His gruesome face He is vanquished On this peaceful night Never to be seen By dawn’s sweet light Banished to his home Far away from here Where he cannot hurt Those I hold dear Thank you my friend For all you have done You are the reason I walk in the sun No fear of darkness Left within my heart Just hope beating true Throughout every part You made the difference When I needed it most So to you I dedicate This heartfelt post Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats |
