She's Sweet Chantilly Graced
~*Marge Tindal*~

Shuttling the words on light parchment
quilling that weaves the lace
Appliqued hearts in rapture flowing
she's sweet Chantilly graced

Woven phrase of amaze
so delicately is placed
across the loom of love in bloom
she's sweet Chantilly graced

Finely woven craft, an art of heart
formed with gentle gracing
Quill swiftly travels across
such fine Chantilly lacing

Wrapped in rapture from a heart
so gentle in the taking
Chantilly graces smiling faces
with the joy that she is making

~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~

I've had this one on my mind all afternoon...it lovingly stayed with me and I came back to tell you so...now I find out I was lingering in your mind when you wrote it...wow...

It has a wonderfully haunting, melodic quality....so much so...into my library it is lovingly placed...

Marge--I have seen the signatures in my greandmother's school memory book, and the inticate swirl and delicate hand are amazing...you have made a memory of her with this poem...it is so beautifully done.

To share is to feel happiness -
Thank you for letting me share this with you.

Martie~
Yes, love ... I also have seen the intricate swirls -
It's so much akin to the lace doilies my great grandmother
placed everywhere.
I don't see lace without smiling at the remembrance of her.
I'm pleased to have stirred a memory for you.

Saunni~
I thank you, dear.
My heart is warmed by knowing you read and enjoyed it.

My grandmothers had lace doiles everywhere too. I wonder if they knew that we would recall them fondly one day, that they were adding a touch of elegence to our memories? I have been thinking of lace lately myself and have a few ideas bouncing around in my head. Who knows? Maybe I'll write a poem one of these days! Beautiful poem, Marge!

I appreciate your kind words so much.
I'm glad to share with loving hearts.

Denise~
I will look forward to seeing the beauty you write.
Yes, the memories of grandmotherly things have
such a special significance to us.
I hope to one day leave even half the pleasant recalls of myself, as were left to me.
