Not My Time To Dance

It was late, my eyes prickled with tears
My heart into stormy waters again steers
All around me are couples dancing close
And all I can hear is your hearts last post
Your mouth calls urging me to just dance
But your eyes tell me it’s our last chance
So I lift my face and try hard to hide me
Please I softly beg don’t let your heart see

The music swirls around filling my ears
And your scented skin brings forth tears
I wish this dance would carry on forever
That you and I could still stay together
But I know that I’m wishing for the moon
And my heart will be lonely so very soon
As your arms hold me close my eyes fill
And the tears of my heart run over its sill

I lower my head and lay my cheek there
The tears flow with this pain I can’t bare
Once we leave this dance we’ll then part
And the longing for you tears me all apart
To have had a love like ours and let it go
And hope that my heartbreak doesn’t show
I try desperately to stop this river of tears
Knowing that this is the why of my fears

As the music ends your eyes look at me
And these my tearstains are so clear to see
Your eyes are puzzled asking me why is this
The answer is there held within your kiss
Because you were never mine to love at all
And the dreams I’ve kept make me a fool
Tomorrow is your wedding day it's not mine
Your bride is my sister, this isn't my time

Sandra love, thank you so much sweetie, and he still has a little piece of my heart to this day. And yes they are still married. It's the code of the sisters, before the relationship became serious, flirting might be allowed, but that depends on circumstances. After that absolutely hands off.
