skies of blues have all turned gray the rolling sound of cryin' thunder tides turn to rides of broken dreams sometimes around it seems to tell me it's late for sayin' see the ocean wild under with blue turquoise green thinkin’ of all that's in her she’ll never surrender to the likes of you yet suddenly when she must vend her tale the wisdom fell and hit like breakers on brinks it was to late for such with eyes that smile there'll be ten more cryin' prayin’ in times of helplessness but then guessin’ we're livin' too late for sayin' nothin's here but rains and broken pain nothin' much worth value guess we've all got dilemma sorts of cares some emptiness yet still we share tomorrows could get better than today’s for ones who've loved in vain can you fathom turning such tides broken dreams in side you think sometimes it seems God tells us it's too late for prayin' or was it another miracle some how just myst for takin' ~ [This message has been edited by lucky (edited 01-20-2001).] |

My heart aches for the brokenness and sorrow in this haunting and poignant work. So much pain, so much helplessness, but no, it's never too late to pray. I love you, my dearest. P.S. Emotions aside, I do so enjoy your plays on words, and the way you word things! You are so unique and such a gifted writer. The end, "was it another miracle some how just myst for takin'" - ah, I wish I could do that! |

I agree, u play with words rather well. Anything else you play well with? *chuckles* I really think it's neat how you form your poems. I'm not intelligent enough to do anything "creative". Art is definitely not my major. The word "haunting" is about to be played out by me, but oh well. It works.  ~The hardest thing is watching the one you love... love someone else.~ |

Like PoeticEnchantress, my first reaction to the title was "Rarely... and poorly." *S* And then I open the poem and find such sadness... and yes, I think sometimes there's too much to bear and no words for prayer... that's when it's good we have friends to let us lean and pray for us... well done, lucky! |
