Between a laugh and a tear...

0 posted 2001-01-19 04:52 PM

.......for my angel

They come to me
Just whispers on the wind
Your words unspoken, reaching out
From across the miles they descend

Each word a tear
That falls across my heart
Searching, lost and alone
I hear the cry your heart imparts

Touch me!
Hold me! Soothe me!

In my dreams I answer the call
For in my heart you've pride of place
I'll hold you close, never let you go
And brush those tears from your face.

"I would never want to hold what does not want to be held" she pleads,
saying how they are such good friends,
while the feelings resurface,
and the uncertainty speaks denying it,

To be held in that one place where all the
walls come tumbling down and you don't have
to be the "strong" one...to be able to just
BE....that's what makes friendship such a
nice place to come home to Eagle...you words
are beautfiul....but not a beautiful as your
heart my friend...It's always a comfort to
know that there is an oasis waiting should
you ever need it is a comfort beyond my own
words...but you know my friend...you know

Friends count the most in times of dispair and you show your heart as a friend wonderfully and tenderly in this piece.  Well done in both verse and showing your friendship.

EagleOne,

Beautiful sentiments for your angel.  I know she appreciates it.  It is amazing how many miles a little love and support can cover.  Well done.
