Crush II
(Western Kansas Prairie Song)

One touch of your hand
swept the clouds away.
I was left in the sun like cacti.

Each breath took me back
to a time just like this,
only now was the sum of my years.

My heart was swollen
by the blue of the sky,
and my mind was flowers by the dozen.

Our shadows fell east,
just me and this tree,
anticipating the depth of your sunset.

Mark...I had missed this gem, but it touched me through the sand like a wayward arrow's point....

I am surprised by this. Your title gives little indication that one will be reading something so esoteric. I must confess that I find your poem delightful. Thanks for it.
