Unraveling

If you would take the silver among the gold
and begin to tug on the weave,
weakened, the fibers of by gone days,
would unravel the gold that it sheaths.

The brightness would smile it's shine upon you,
the tarnish of silver allayed.
Would you dare to desire the hidden beneath,
would the golden then fright you away?

If you entered within, discovering need
and wanting acceptance to please,
the most intimate pieces of puzzling fit,
would the inside be turned out for your tease?

All the you that is you, many faces in dreams
many characters there to entice,
if my golden appeared 'neath crossings of threads,
would you treasure their hold in the nights?

Reposed, waiting rise, is a heart, staid below
so pure, silken white, thread-barely strung,
dangling on silver, awaiting it's find,
yet guarded, of gold, and unsung.
