Ride the wind she said
And tame the stars for me
So I looked inside her head
And saw only she, could set her free

But I rode the wind for her
I rode it fast and long
And I tamed the stars to offer
All these and a lovers song

Catch the clouds she said
And bind up all the rain
You can take me to your bed
And hold back all my pain

Though, I knew it could not be
I chased the clouds for her
In the hope, she would be free
In a morning filled with myrrh

The rain, who could it bind
So, I caught it in a pail
And I brought it into mind
As she began to weep and wail

Fly as spark said she
Make a lantern with the sky
Light up the night for me
Show me passion lift me high

Then I climbed the awesome heights
To paint the sky with love
And I prayed that with love lights
This deed would be enough

But her face withdrew from me
Couldn't see the healing hand
So I gently set her free
Left her to her own command

She cries at night I hear
For the wind and stars and sky
And desire burns off tears,
from an angel that can't fly.

Kethry love, Outstandingly beautiful, absolutely stunning love. This is truly awesome, it really is you at your best. (And don't you think that even a poem as stunning as this one with let you off love!)

Keth this is AWESOME....
your writing is blowing me away of late ...
your reaching for some stars of your own my dear ...
the use of metaphor and imagery in this is superb
the elements of nature to express the emotions is way cool

"And saw only she, could set her free"

wisdom kissed rhyme ...
VERY COOL write me girlie...VERY

Thanks everyone,
this was a wayward muse that caught up with me when I was supposed to be catching up on notes, so I just scribbled it down and posted it. It meant something to me at the time but I'm not sure what!

EagleOne, when I can write with the ease you do I won't have to worry about what people think, until then thank you for the Wow!

Sea, it's not an acrostic, but it's close to a crossword in that it's cryptic. Thanks!

JanetMarie, thanks is such an insufficent word for two awesomes but it's the only one I have, Thanks!

Temptress, That you should stop by and honor me is praise indeed.Thank you!

Sunshine, I'm following in the master's footsteps...yours. Thank you

Sven, that the master of poetry should consider my work to be excellent is high praise. Thanks.

Charisma, from one writer to another...you help me shine  Thank you.

Kathleen, thank you for your encouragement. I wrote Return to innocence with you in mind. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Be well
Kethry

This was to put it mildly.........FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!  I love it when you let yourself go and pour out the emotions in one of your writes.  This is by far my favorite of yours and in saying so it by no means diminishes any of the others.  This one is just so AWESOME from the get go and then wrapped up in a final verse that is no less than perfect.  Library for sure.
