Bubbles and Whine A bubble bath and candles glass of Merlot Sinatra crooning while I sink deeper into dreamy visions thick terry towels warm and soft against a tired soul musk scented lotion Mooommmy! Hey! Mommy watch what you're doing Ooops, baby shampoo does burn the eyes.. Now where was I... pay the electric, don't forget the phone, damn car insurance is due again.. Nonono.. That's not where I was.... Bubbles, candles.... milk bread eggs cereal OK, I think I'm losing ground.. luxury spas emergency rooms slow walks in the park write up a weeks worth of reports Write a poem respond to hate mail Might as well face the facts.. Twenty-four hours in the day... There just isn't enough time Everyone and EVERYTHING gets their piece of me... Except, Me! "...I am a river in winter, quiet in the eyes of most but deep, swift and full of life to one, lucky enough to fall through the ice. |
