Do you feel like you live in a snow globe?
untouched by the warmth of the sun
snowflakes falling around you
and you are the only one

You watch while others have their fun
falling in love with their special man
Do you feel like you live in a snow globe?
untouched by human hands

Did you ever feel like minced pork?
served in between won ton
after the love you cherished so long
craved icing on a cinnamon bun

Did you ever try being a friend?
with someone who was once a lover
someone you once called "darling"
now his first name is hard to discover

Do you feel like you live in a snow globe?
waiting to no longer love apart
dying inside a slow death
a death of a melting heart

A poem is never finished, only abandoned.

Super piece!  Snowpants also identified my two favorite stanzas.  Great analogies all the way through.
