In this corner the rock star
In this corner his grave
Let us have this fight begin
Tell me who will be so brave

The tambourine pounds my haunted past
Veins are racing the rhythm fast
All of us are in the final cast
Turn out the lights if you are last

I’d neglect my chance to sleep
To ride the poet’s dream
Close my eyes and I’m awake
Nothing is, as it seems

Sing me a song I’m a new man
I’d like to shake your hand
Bring me a woman if you can
And baby you’re in the band

Passion flows like a head-trip
Passion flows from your lips
Two red vipers from a snake pit
Your passion I can’t forget

Waking up hard on a Tuesday
Thinking it must be all right
To fall in love with a new girl
Every single day of my life

People channel people
Liable to start suspicion
Don’t stand near an open mind
Flying apparition

Solemn at the grave site
Tears shed on my tomb
Life, didn’t you love me?
Drop me from your womb

The couch can be a brave ride
For the wife he can’t abide
In this corner a rock star
Or just a boy who likes to hide?

I’ll sleep and I’ll dream
I’ll cry and I’ll scream
I’ll walk up and down
The infinite seam
I’ll be good I’ll behave
I’ll be strong I’ll be brave
I just want to stand
From the bottomless grave

For the stream of consciousness
I would somehow hope to save
Runs its course and falls into
A watery sunken grave

Walty, this was a really interesting read buddy....

I’d neglect my chance to sleep
To ride the poet’s dream
Close my eyes and I’m awake
Nothing is, as it seems
