I didn't mean to hurt you
It's just that my mind and my heart don't always agree
I thought that what I wanted, I could find in you
But I soon realized that I didn't know what I wanted,
and, if I didn't know what I wanted, how could I find it in you?

But yet, you were content to be just my friend,
Always with a kind word, a smile to warm my day
Never forcing, never pushing
And for that, I'm thankful.

I'm thankful that you were gentle with this fragile heart
That you were able in your own way to make me believe that I could fly again
But I need to fly on my own right now
To see if my wings are really healed,
Or if I'm just fooling myself into thinking they really are.

Please don't cry,
You've done more for me than I could ever say,
And while your chapter in my life has been brief,
It's one that I will always remember
With a smile
With a tear
and always, with love.

Will we dance that dance we've dreamed of?
I don't know.
But know, that I'll always save the last one for you.

Thank you, for everything

I know this well, and you have expressed it beautifully.

A friend told me just the other night to follow my heart rather than my mind. Sometimes I wonder which would be more dangerous, and sometimes its all according to my mood.  Isn't that srange?

(sigh) What a beautiful, sincere poem, filled with honesty and understanding! It must take a lot of courage to make a heartfelt decision like this! Excellent work! Thank you for sharing, my friend!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

When you find yourself truely loveing a friend then the right things are always easy to do.  You will soar and you will touch the heavens as you find all the stars that you desire and deserve and I will be the first in line to celebrate each and everyone of them with you.  Sometimes flying alone is the only way to find yourself and know that this friend will never be too far for you to reach out to.  To sum it up....

If you find yourself stranded in a storm...then reach for my hand and we will play in the puddles together.

Beautifully written my friend and the rest YOU KNOW but to clear it up...yes I do.

PassionsVoice~

'And while your chapter in my life has been brief,
It's one that I will always remember
With a smile
With a tear
and always, with love.'

When someone comes into your life -
no matter how long or short the time -
and leaves the etchings of a loving friendship -
that is indeed worth remembering.

For love weaves itself in - out - and around our hearts
wrapping the wonderful moments within the the cocoon of us for safekeeping.

Beautifully and very tenderly written, sweet lady.

======================

we have to learn to trust our own heart before we can give it to another ...
a hand held out from a friend can help us find our way ...
this is a sincere, beautiful poem,
written for all the right reasons ...
I happen to know this friend has patience and dedication of the heart when it is someone is special and dear to him.
take care

When to the sessions of sweet silent thought,
I summon up remembrance of things past ...
I sigh the lack of many a thing I sought.
