When my peace starts to settle in, (The result of daily thoughts of you) I can sense uneasiness trying to snatch me One last time. Pictures of our day Flash through my mind; I regret the words I chose for you; I wish I had another opportunity To see your face. How can I get to you? Point me in the direction Of your soft spot. Inspiration follows me everywhere; I’m afraid everyone can see This rainbow in my eyes. I’ve cut all ties with loneliness, But found a great new friend In the light of day, Especially the dawn, For it reminds me How far I’ve come. The road is long, But seeing your face At the end of the last mile Is well worth the effort. Life itself is filled with uneasiness and then someone had to go and come up with this love thing. So nice to see you penning in here again my friend and it seems to me that you have been working on your poetry as it keeps getting better. This one hits the same level as your one in Spiritual Journeys for sure. |
