You believe you’ll always keep your place, up at the top… You’re riding high, up in the sky, and it’s not going to stop… But take it from someone who’s been both up and very down… You’re going to need a friend there, when your ego hits the ground! I’ve been standing back aways, because I hate big crowds… I hear something in your laugh, that’s cold and way too loud… It bothers me, but I’ll wait here, because you’ll need to know… You have a home when there is nowhere else, that you can go… (Chorus) And all you ever have to do is call… You know I’ll be here waiting, when there’s nothing left at all… So, stay up there and have yourself a ball… You know I’ll be here waiting… just to catch you when you fall… Write on! -<--<--{(@ |

Hmm - I like it! Song lyrics are hard to write, I think you've done a good job, is there any more of it? I hope the melody gives this the justice it deserves . The tragedy of it is that nobody sees the look of desperation on my face. Thousands and thousands of us, and we're passing one another without a look |

Thank you, Enola!! These are the complete words, but as I am a keyboardist, there will be an extended lead break after the chorus, then a repeated chorus to finish. And yes, the melody I've written is befitting the words...I'm happy with the combination!! Write on! -<--<--{(@ |

SEA... So glad you liked my song!! Actually, I dearly love putting the words to music....the words always come first to me, then I sit at my keyboard, and the melody usually makes itself known.
