Love Is Like. . .

Love is like the birth of a child. . .

Conceived. . . when two come together,
Resting unseen to the human eye,
Yet thriving inside a realm within.
Each day protected and nurtured,
Dependant upon it's host for survival.

Believed. . . to be the creation of joy,
Full of Light and promise of hope,
Can not be touched with human hand,
Nor brought out of it's inner chamber,
For to make manifest early would bring demise.

Recieved. . . as the greatest gift from above,
It's arrival must be embraced with joy,
Taken into the arms with dedication,
Held close to the bosom and attended,
Becoming first priority to both parents.

Love is like the life of a child. . .

Dependant. . . upon those that brought it forth,
To feed it with the proper nourishment,
To cleanse it of the worlds debris,
Teaching it to stand, walk, and run,
To be honest, compassionate, and eternal.

Resplendent. . . before the eyes of God,
An entity unto itself, connected to two hearts,
Sacrificing at all cost what is required,
Cherishing what has been given,
To ensure the longevity of it's very life.

Transcendent. . . to anything ever known,
Beyond the ordinary range of human experience,
Going through all the stages, good and bad,
With commitment and acceptance of grace,
Love, like a child, will be held in God's hand.

'Transcendent. . . to anything ever known,
Beyond the ordinary range of human experience,'

Excellent write, krysalis!  You are so right.  Love can show up on its own, but its well being is our responsibility.  Love this!
