Deep Within

In deepest dreams or waking
As we’re apart so it must be
Visions of you haunt me
Reaching out to the heart of me

I feel your softness, sweetness
Turning hardened stone within
Melting icey thoughts I’d held
Binding me forever

I feel your soft hair grazing
‘Crost my pain as cross my soul
Building desire and longing
Beyond all control

Surging from deep within me
Since our first soft kiss
Clasped hands held close with smile
Touched never-known loves’ bliss

I’ve tried to analyse
Tried to distill the magic you
Calculate the essense
Angel’s brew so fresh and new

In your words I found the key
Unspoken, wrote yet heard
Essential you comes to me
Always clear and never blurred

Speak, beat on my heart now
Hang tight, never let me go
Let me smell your fragrance
I might bask in your love’s glow

Great souls have wills; feeble ones have only wishes.

Your thoughts are very softly portrayed in this piece.

Marge-
I yam who I yam (apologies to Popeye) Thank you

Martie-
I still struggle to write half as well as you
thank you

Green Eyes -
I'll never forget it was you who first taught me to write like this - Thank you

Hope -
Do we remember afterglows as we do - only because they can last so much longer? - perhaps -nonetheless - I sincerely believe now - they are the raison d'etere (sp?)
