We booked a gig today!
They hired us to sing and play…
It’s at a Lodge downtown…
Where all the local folk hang ‘round…

Of course I told them yes!
As entertain’s what we do best…
And money pays the bills…
For Internet and all those frills…

It should be quite a bash!
We’ll take home food with all the cash…
And when the gig is done…
We’ll head for home to have “our” fun…

I’m counting lucky stars!
Live music reigns within some bars…
So, I just had to say…
We booked a gig today!!

Sunny1~
Well, what time do Serenity and I show up ?
How much are we getting paid ?
What are we wearing ?
Are the guys good-looking ?

Hey ... these are all important issues here !

Congratulations to us !
Way to go, gal !
I'm so happy for us !
We'll WOW 'em !
We're having BIG FUN now !
Let us know how we did !

'I’m counting lucky stars!'
Hey ... that's my line - but we can use it !

I think I'll just be the groupie, no good at singing or playing instruments, so I'll just hang out up front, waves my hands in the air and just mime the words

~~~ Marge ~~~
Here's the deal.....
1.You have to sing and play over 100 songs.
2.You have to sing like at least 50 country and rock fop 40 singers on the top charts.
3.You have to be able to solo on your instrument when the guitar player breaks a string!
4.You have to be able to take requests that you've never heard of, and fake it off the top of your hat.
5.You have to be able to smile sweetly when insulted by a drunk standing 6 inches from your microphone and keyboard.
6.Last but not least, you have to be able to pack up and carry 2 tons of PA gear, instruments and set it up and tear it down, without ever uttering a complaint!
And that's only for starters!!
Can you handle it?
Seriously.....I hope this poem gave you a giggle and insight into the life of a pro musician......it's not as easy as it looks!!
Um, after reading the requirements, I'll just group [or is that grope] along and hum a little....
but if you are having fun, isn't that what it's all about?
Rock on!
YES!!!!!......the days of Karaoke are coming to an end, putting real live musicians back to work once more!!  When it comes to music, nothing beats the real thing!! Thanks, Bro!!
(And, yes.....I stole the graphic, but you put it there for me, right?)
~~~ Sunshine ~~~
Hum loud, dear friend, as I play loud whenever possible!! Just love to crank that keyboard up and let my fingers do the dancing!!  Oh, one of these days I plan on writing a book about the life of a road musician......I only listed a very few requirements here!! Ha!!   Thank you!!

~~~ g ~~~
I'm usually the same way....stay in the background.....until someone gives me a stage, and a mic. I'm more at home on a stage than anywhere else, and there's nowhere else I'd rather be!! Thank you, and Mark would be a splendid choice for dancing partner!!
Nah, you won't have to sing if you can do some of that other stuff!!  So, when do you want to start.....can you get us a gig down under?  That way we could work 1/2 the year there in the warm, and the other 1/2 here in the warm!!  Wouldn't that be awesome?
(Thank you, my friend!!)
