Slipstream to Consciousness Sometimes things are not what they seem Like that awakening moment from a terrifying dream But you collect your thoughts as they start to come clear Realizing the terror was just a thought pattern of fear Or when driving down a highway on a very hot day You see water up ahead but as you get closer it fades away You stop for a coffee and the girl serving you looks so familiar Someone in your past or maybe a dream but frankly your not sure But you're sure you gave her a ten-dollar bill When she hands you the change you start to feel ill The price of the coffee and the change adds to a five These mind awakening moments just bring you alive Sometimes you're talking of an idea of some kind And the person your speaking with says you just read my mind You see someone you know so you go to say hello But when you're face to face it's just some other soul Embarrassing moments can enrich your life Be careful of the last one when you go to kiss your wife Ever been talking to someone and they just disappear You turn around talking to someone who's not there How about dancing or singing when alone As your singing the next note you get frightened to the bone Someone appears catching you in song Your fantasy debut suddenly feels all wrong A feeling of awareness The slipstream to consciousness At that moment of it's impact Different feelings will react When things seem just a normal way Like a routine in your every day Look closer at what you really see Because it just might not be the way it should be When feelings are brought on in that moment of awareness Your mind signals the body a gratification to your consciousness As if you've discovered something new in something you see all the time You take a second look, as the feeling becomes sublime [This message has not been edited by insect (unedited 01-15-2001).] |

Inot2B…Thank you Glad to share similar events, glad you came in to read and reply  Krawdad…Thank you Strange how sometimes they peak our awareness at the moment they happen and create a reaction to our consciousness in some way instead of being caught in the slipstream ___________________________________________ I was trying to create a reaction in this to peak a small awareness in you the reader for a small laugh.
