Nothing But A Cyber Romeo

As your eyes caress the flashing screen
Are you sure what those words mean
They may promise paradise for you
But how can you be sure that it’s true
Your face may flush and the heat rise
Are you sure you can believe your eyes?

Those words of seduction so sweet
Just set up the next piece of meat
With a wave of a pen like a knife
Words into your soul will cut a slice
For how long you’ve bathed in ink
Loves’ words are not what you think

You thought you were the only one
Did you believe you were his sun?
Others who’ve lost this sordid game
Felt as you now do the hurt and pain
But we’ve come through this sad fire
Our wings will help you, fly you higher

You wanted to believe, well we did too
Wanted to see the dreams of me and you
And to fly to the stars and dance all night
Conjure the magic to bejewel our sight
But the truth is there isn’t magic in this
It is nothing just an ordinary cyber kiss

Marsha, this is so outstanding a portrayal of the new way that has come into being, with which loving hearts can be deceived. Awesome! Thanks.

Great warning and show of friendship, Marsha!  Wonderfully written, too!

Its nice to have friends to gather around you in things like this.   Excellent writing, and you've hit a close mark.

Can I be your willful breeze,
Come to touch,
Your heart to ease?

What's that warning never awaken a sleeping dragon, or in this case a peaceable phoenix.

Oh, yes......
it's just too easy to believe the cyber lies that come from the lips of a cyber Romeo!!!
Just because it sits in your living room and gives you messages of love on the screen, does not mean that it's real!!!  Hard lesson to be learned, especially if you're lonely!!
Thank you, big sis!!
