Well this day is finally here,
My 40th birthday year.
Time seems to go by so fast,
I wish it would stay around and last.

Some consider 40 being over the hill,
But to me it is not big deal.
It only means I am one year older than the last,
Those days are gone by as the past.

This day has brought me joy,
As I shout o-boy!
Friends and loved ones wished me good cheer,
On this special day of the year.

Turning 40 on the millineum year,
Is something to shout about and cheer.
I'll cherish all the good thing of the day,
As I go about my way.

I hope my future will be full of fun,
With each year being better than the other one.
So I write this poem in celebration of a
special birthday year,
As friends and loved one help spread the cheer.

Happy Birthday...youngster!!!

It isn't that 40 is over the hill as much as it is the things that start breaking down after 40...you know, like, the body. I think the hair went first; the eyes, the joints, the weight (didn't go, came!) but the mind, the memory, etc., stays sharp!

UHnn, er, hmmmm, where was I...?

Have a wonderful year, me friend!

Rex-Thanks, 40 is quite painless.

Victoria--I will cherish this day.

Janet Marie--Thanks for the lovely thought
and yes Mark will always be 3 years older
than me,but don't tell him.

Mark--as your sister I can only say, thanks
and you are next with the 43.

Sunshine-I take you up on your dare, I just
keep on getting older it seems instead of
younger.

inot2B-I am dreading the big 50.

jwesley--My body started falling apart
several years ago, and keeps on falling
