Making My Point Evident!
Virginia Salter

Cat Ballou stands facing the door...
“Prrrrrrrrrrt” I say.
She turns
walks to me
sidles up to my legs

I reach down
scratch her head
encouraging her to seek its touch
that I might grasp and caress her
cradle her on lap and such

suspicious she
scoots past and flees me
walks away at quick apace
turning tail
and waves her question mark
abruptly, rhythmically to my face

ears laid back
she stands again
in full intent
asking with her animate appendage
“When will she open that door?!!!!!
I relent.

VAS, this is sooooooo adorable! I love the imagery! And you captured the motions so well with your words, I could almost feel my little cat doing the same thing to me. A wonderful subject, wonderfully written. Great job, well done all round!
