*~*A Slice of Moonbeam Pie*~*

Misty dreams of solace
Found in the starry sky of night
Carrying cares away
On a crisp winter breeze.
Carry me to where the angels fly
And let the yellow kiss away my fears.
Illuminate the corners of my mind
And brighten my sense
To twinkle all my tastebuds
With a slice of moonbeam pie.

A fulfilling emptiness in my heart
As an eractic peace caresses the Earth.
A tale told beyond the stars
Is heard every night
As a whisper in the child's ear
So secretly heard by all.
Illuminate the corners of your mind
And open up your soul,
Taste the bitter sweetness
Of a slice of moonbeam pie.

Becky,
MMMMMMMM! I'll have a slice of that, even with the bitter aftertaste.
Write on

Sven - *Laughing* I like that! Whipped cream of starlight. Hehe, dangit! Why couldn't you have said so before i posted? I'm sure I could've written that in there somewhere! Now I feel my poem's lacking cream! Dang! Oh well, done now. Thanks for making me chuckle Sven....and for the kind comment

The feel of this verse on the tongue is as exquisite as would be moonbeam pie.

the phrase "fulfilling emptiness" is totally captivating!

catalinamoon - fantasticly delicious? Golly, you people like to make me blush don'tcha? Thank you soooo much for your kind words

VAS - with the phrase 'fulfilling emptiness' I was trying to capture the overwhelming calm I feel when sitting under a midnight sky....did it work? Anyway, thank you muchly for your words of encouragement, they mean a lot

Marge - I do so love how you presented your response. I found myself caught unawares and grinning. Thanks for that and for posting a reply. In Passions you're a legend to me, and for you to reply to one of my poems makes me feel worthy! lol

Much love and hugs to you all,
~Becky~
