From The Inside Looking Out
By: Noah Eaton
1/12/01

Within the solemn heart of a mirror within a mirror that I see in my soul
Shines this paradigm of time, swimming through my bloodstream
An essence of the love I feel, the morning dew of serenity I breathe
Corkscrew thoughts tunnel through the webs of my mind, hollering the untold

To love Thee, and for the eyes to see
Eternal love of life and the meaning of being
To praise the eyes of faith and sanctity
And let the light emblaze your eyes, let love set you free

And still we rise
From the inside looking out

Upon the esplanades of the dreams that we have been offered
We hold this seed, wistfully eager to see these dreams blossom and bud
Unfold your palms and plant this seed, in the sanctuary of your flesh and blood
Now this hearts garden needs tending, if you want to seek promises’ flower

By-and-by, time etches into my hand, the wrinkles memories woven tight
Massages me with sensuous lotion, my mind and soul mollifies
Time and love, completing your heart with a blithe weavers hitch
A new full life is born, ridding of all illusion of a granted wish

And still we love
From the inside looking out
And still we explore
From the inside looking around

Through dreamtimes eyes, you only go so far
A recalcitrant tear is shed, unctuous watery eyes of myopia we wear, searching afar
In states like this, somehow we are all the same, from the inside looking out
But we all walk on to seek the gold, escaping the quicksand of doubt

Hence we stand, approaching our shadows on eternity’s crossroads
Making ourselves the people that we want to be
Channeling the canals of lust, marching through the fog of pain and up the escarpments to our dreams
Under the enlightening gun of faith, onward to love and rapture we go

And still we feel
From the inside looking out
And still we live
To the outside looking in, and back again

What a wonderful way to look at life and love!  This tells me that you not only see life, but you 'observe' it with your heart, not just your eyes!!  Great write!!

Write on!

Very very nice, in message and in form. I applaud your work here, hoping to see more like this, as I stand without, looking in.

Compliments
