Listening to every heart

Innately Internal

let me in, let me out
I have me now some
patience, bought and paid for
inherently as central most
normal is what I came for

instinct fails me
fail me not! for what I need
is touch

internally I look within
for there I need it
much

born was I of commonness
and find that less
is more

privately I seek inside
what I've been looking
for

and if I have that sense in …
… here …
then why can't I find it
there…out
there…

accustomed is my interior
and inborn is my central control
but I have yet to accustom me
to that beyond my whole

so am I the failure that
cannot be
the soul of my own mate?
am I so fundamentally
wrong
in this, my own mistake?

instinct prevails
then comes common sense
and then comes sense of
no regard

and while I dream of high on high
I sit thoughtfully
gathering up my own shards

and private, private
I keep my thoughts
inherent in my dreams

for this 'tis immanent
that I find internal seams

to question my normality
and quell my internal bleed
for what I think is natural
could be called crucial need

instinctively I reach for touch
is that then asking
for too much?

Perhaps not
when I all knowingly
reach externally
and find myself within the
you of me…

(tears come down my cheeks) Oh Sunshine, I could feel such pain in here, this was so very sad! Oh, it must be so hard having to face this lovelorning hope! But don't give up, sweet one, may your sunshine perforate all sorrows, for sweetness follows, as Mike of R.E.M says! Than you for sharing, my friend!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Oops..Noah, Marsha, I should have put a disclaimer...

Watched Anthony Hopkins in "Instinct" last night...I won't give away the plot unless you've seen it, and after you have watched it then come back to read this...you will understand...

this was not entirely personal...but then, I don't think we write that a little bit of reality doesn't seep through now and then...

thank you both so much for reading, and even more, for feeling!

Hey, enjoyed this Sunshine. I write most of my stuff from outside influences also. But I agree, we have to harbor a certain amount of feeling inside ourselves if we're to put that in the work.  I'm not a sad person, but can put myself in that frame of mind if I want to write sad...as you obviously can also. Neat.

I wish my instincts would fail me....I could miss out on a lot of lousy stuff that way...the kind of stuff that leaves a guy roaming in the archives.
