To Dance The Four Winds
~*Marge Tindal*~

maiden dancer
dance the four winds
prance your dress of chance
blown by the breezes across time
billowing within the chasms of chime
maiden dancer, dance the four winds
to the ways of ancient spirits unfurl
enchantment found in the windy whirl
taking place in the encircling breezes
maiden dancers engulf the four winds
catacombs of time-blown tradition to
the maiden dancers of the four winds

I'm so pleased to know you enjoyed her dance.

To stir a memory in your heart is enough to
make me want to dance with joy.
I truly appreciate you sharing it with Sarah Sweetwater.
I think she will find herself in it.

Thank you so much for catching the spirituality in this piece.
I appreciate your comments very much.

Bonnie~
To know that the image dances in another's eyes
must be the very reason I write -
May you dance the dance of great joy -
breezing in on the four winds.

Kansas is named for the Kansa Indians...
"People of the South Wind", but I suspect you were aware of that...
whenever you pen of the spirits and of your heritage, you take you poetry to a higher plane Marge...  a true pleasure to experience.

Mike~
Yes, I am familiar with the Kansa/Kaw -People of the South Wind.

They have been recorded from the 1500's - 1848
in North America.

Charles Curtis, who was vice president of the United States under President Herbert Hoover, was a celebrated tribal member.

The Vision Quest was an honored tradition to young men of the tribe upon reaching puberty.

Shucks, you probably already know all of this, but maybe we can share with others.

Thanks so much for your interest in my heritage writings.
They sit very close to my heart.
*Hugs*

VAS~
I thank you.
When SkyeLara dances - she twirls the words in her own way.
Her magic is of transformation into the 'shapes' of her happiness.

Sometimes I have to 'tweak' a word or two -
but she's pretty precise in her movements across the page.

I really wish I could tell you more -
but is it okay to say that - it just happens ?

Tracie~
You know that I appreciate seeing your reply.
I know you are aware of the spirit dancing in this piece.
Thank you, sweetie.
