If You Only Knew
By Richard Maxfield
8-8-2000

If you only knew
What happens to me every time I am near you
There are things I cannot control
My palms become sweaty, blood pumps ever faster.
Bring me to full excitement in passion and desire.
Love pours from my heart.
My mind whisks me away to a place.
Our place, that only we know,
In this place is where we share love.
Only our love, love between a man and woman.
As God had intended love to be.
Love with no boundaries, free from social constraints.
No shame, holding nothing back.
Pure love and enjoyment as thought we were in the Garden of Eden.
For this is love, the love that burns in my bones.
It is for you and only you.
Every moment I live , every breath I take.
Thinking of you.
If you only knew.

*nudge*

Tell her...this is beautiful, and she'll love it...

I love the time
and in between
the calm inside me
in the space
where I can breathe...

Rich...how very, very lovely...You should let whoever this is know what you are feeling..Yes, just like the others said...tell her...You never know, she could be feeling the same way...   This is another one I shall keep safe... Hugs.. ~LL~

Agree with Breathe, Richard, and, hey, it's nice to put a face with your name and your 'love' poetry.
