LOVES' LAND OF MAKE-BELIEVE

The Willows whisper your name,
As dreams and thoughts of you capture me,
My eyes are closed, your words I hear,
For I can feel you near,

The breeze, the fragrance, the air,
Wraps its memories of you around me,
Upon my skin, I feel your soft touch,
Thinking of you, wanting you so much,

The doves, cooing their lovers tune,
Reminding me of your sweet voice singing to me,
Inside my heart, it feels your melody,
Your song, your words, paint a picture for me to see,

The peace, the stillness, serenity,
Feelings I Have when I am only with you,
Upon this night, every night,I come here to dream-weave,
Where you and I become one,in Loves'Land Of Make-believe!

No one ever told me ... I could get lost while standing still ...
and sorrow doesnt make a sound ... as it takes away all your will.

RH,

A big welcome back my friend!  This was wonderful and I am happy to see your muse has returned to us.

Poetry should surprise by fine excess...it should strike the reader as a wording of his own highest thoughts and appear almost a remembrance. -J.Keats

How true and beautifully written !!

Land of make believe
Neath moon and stars above
Sharing dreams of togetherness
Where forever there is love

A fairytale masterpiece!  And what would we do without that wonderful world of make-believe?  Beautiful...
