Twilight came
much too soon
I wasn't prepared
for the power of the moon

Shining right into my soul
turning my tide
leaving me with no where to run
no where to hide

The memories flood~
running deep as the sea
~painfully sweet memories
of you and me

Almost, as if on cue
the radio plays a song from the past
and I'm forced to remember
you promised ours was a love to last

Loved this one SEA - But remember, those memories that bring us pain can also bring us extreme happiness at other times....guess it depends on that given moment when you remember.

A beautiful write SEA, but I expected nothing less. And don't the memories always catch us off guard when we can't hide? I hate that! *smiles*

SEA,

Perhaps my friend the time has come for new memories to replace the old broken ones.  This was powerful and sad.  I wish I couldn't relate, but unfortunately I can.  Wishing you the best.

Sea...yep memories can be powerful things...and its sad when the only ones we seem to remember are the ones that hurt us the most...but that helps us learn...and grow

This was more than merely lovely but of course whenever you pen from that heart of emotions you possess they always are.  I truely am glad that I read this one of yours.  Memories brought to their peak by circumstance and music are often very overwhelming and you portrayed that well here.

This then, was lovely. Encompassing all. Very well written, my friend. It echos in the mind even after the retinal image has gone.
