Poisoned in need for rest.

I jump the stars with so little speed,
even though I have such a great need.
The aching I have so deep in my chest,
would never allow me to get any rest.
But where have they hidden the last portal stone?
Is it forgotten, or is it just gone?
I pray that the latter will not be the case,
because how will I ever get out of this maze?

Yes, you might wonder what I'm doing here,
You see, I was sent to seek out a seer.
What I didn't know was that she needed help,
so guess who my master sent, this little whelp!
My swordplay is lousy, my strength is the worst,
I'm puny and wimpy, I will be slain first;
but some secret talents I do possess,
I can run like the wind, with almost no rest.

The seer told me a horrendous tale
of Naskta, an evil sorcerer male.
Her story so lifelike, my stomach churned,
my backside crawled and my blood really burned.
And this was the quest she beset me with,
I should seek out a villager in the S'id.
Such an easy task I thought to myself,
but I didn't know that she was an elf,

I have no illgivings to the fairy race,
but she was a drow, equipped with a mace!
Happily as drow goes, she was very nice,
but yet to the task, or should I say vise.
We needed to fight this great evilness,
but how and where we still had to guess.
To put it short, we walked many miles,
I learned my sword the hard way, alas.

We fought the evil with all that we could,
and we won the battle just as we should.
But in his deaththroes he played us a trick,
he poisoned us badly and we fell very sick.
So now I struggle to run in my haste,
to find a healer before we lay waste.
So I jump the stars with so lesser speed,
searching till I can resolve my great need.
