come gentle darkness and taketh mine heart into thine
shield me from the shine and polish of hearts too bright
hearts that I would have desired to know at one time
take me into thine arms and protect me from their light

come gentle darkness and taketh mine hand into yours
hold it close, yea, closer still to thy breast
let the beating of thine heart fill mine own so poor
and may I by thy shadowy knowledge be possessed

come gentle darkness and giveth me thy black lips
let me feel the cold touch of them upon my cheek
and I, drunk of thee, will always want another sip
kiss me again, and let me hear thy sweet voice speak

come gentle darkness and whisper soft in mine ear
whisper of the nights that thou hast sought mine heart
and from thy dark eye, I will wipe that first tear
and swear to thee my love, that we will ne'er part

ah good Knight, you've eclipsed the sun
and darkness, darkness reigns the night
to pull, to pull t'ward deep twilight
don't dally but stay, till night is done...

Wonderful Sven....

Sven it is beauty and deep all mixed into the dark. Hopefully a little light will slip in and help love grow.

This reads like a prayer.  IT's very moving

In darkness' hold,
shall ye be lit by one
who whispers of sweetness,
each releasing thy words of heart,
desirous of a nev'r ending love...
of which to share

As always emotionally and beautifully outstanding Sven.  The dark holds many pleasures (at times) I know (wink) .
I want to discuss the one with you sometime...

Beautiful!

I for one think you speak of the darkness contained in the majestic night, and NOT the darkness that sometimes resides in our hearts or souls.

Sven,
moonlight becomes thee
I wouldst come to thee in moonlight
write on, shadow's song

Sven,
Your words touch the deepest parts of one's soul, and leave them reeling in their own longings... I loved this.
