Listening to every heart

0 posted 2001-01-11 12:02 PM

Day Long Hands

long and hard
came the reflections
in-between

the up and down
of the day

soft and smooth
should have been
the flow
of loving thoughts

but
short and swift
were the moments

interludes of time

breathless

left her breathless
they came too fast
left too quick
myriad thoughts and
pain

pain hurts

absent from body
but renders the
mind useless

never seen
but words touched
then the heart
broke

pain hurts

what does
care
look like

feel like?

I would put a
stamp on care
and send it direct

bypassing hands

straight to your heart

if it would
take the
pain
away
from you

if I could

I would…

long and hard
this day has been
long and hard
and difficult of dream

distant on the
wind of keen
I heard long the
scream of scoria
~ suffering ~
seeking out the
next victim

and I went
to see, to hear,
to hold,
to quietly listen,

and all that
could be offered
was a
helping hand

If I whisper, will you listen?...
I would rather be silent and write, than speak loudly and be bound.

And by sending a golden weave this way today
you have helped...never doubt the power of
your pen Karilea...never, this is beautiful
and so full of your heart that one can't
help but see your soul shining in each and
every line of this gentle weave...so tender
and so loving~

Kari love, I could say something glib and flip like, oh kid I've got to hand it too you, or give you a big hand. But I won't because this is sheer brilliance. As always dear heart this is superb, perfect in line, form and style. (See I said I'd learnt C A, didn't I?) Anyway kid I told you before I have absolutely fabulous taste, and I know beauty, and this is.
Wonderful work love
Take care

This read like a trickle into a stream and then a river and the sea, I loved it all the way through.
