I See

I see joy in desolation
I see freedom in a cage
I can feel a sweet sensation
When the waters churn in rage

I see lily’s petal turning
Down her lip to meet the light
I can see the fires burning
In dark corners of the night

There’s a way to see contentment
Etched within an orchid’s eye
I can filter out resentment
With a simple lullaby

All it takes is clean white paper
And a tranquil place to think
I can conjure any caper
With a pen and flowing ink

I can see a teardrop falling
Gently from an orchid’s eye
I can hear you softly calling
Through the mist of morning sky

Liz, I agree. You certainly can capture any caper with your paper and pen...and you do it better than anyone.

How pleasant to read.

An optimistic and hopeful outlook shrouds darkness and leaves the light of confidence to greet the new day.
