He was a ghost before he spoke the very first time
Like trees discarded after Christmas
Forgotten until another forgettable season
Shelved with ornaments made of his own mind
He was another out of time

Damaged, yet stronger than he was before
And secure in the knowledge
That he had survived somehow
Pain is just weakness leaving out the door
While desiring it, more and more

A tree he was, felled by a blow from reality
Ancient guardian of nature’s secrets
Hardened through seasons of want
Caught somewhere between the lines of humanity
And fulfillment of prophecy

He struggled with thoughts inconceivable
Of reconciling the future with the past
And infinite possibilities
Making all dreams seem believable
‘Til the thoughts became palatable

Strength has an everlasting type of appeal
That beckons with its righteous hand
At same time striking a vengeful blow
In the end, all he wanted was to heal
But first he had to learn to be healed

Thy strength of words appeals to mine heart within and shall help heal any and all who read, knowing that the possibility exists for dreams through struggle to have the opportunity to become real, if the desire and want are held close...

Yes, please keep writing.  I almost stopped at one point but truthfully, I can't!
