The Path To Me < !signature-->Through many perils unnamed and difficulties uncounted You have no conception of the pain that I've surmounted I'd clawed my way back from hell before I ever met you Now if I have to crawl over broken glass I'll do that too You think I have no power because I stand here and cry Well I have power for my soul will not give in and die Although I feel as if my poor heart has been ripped apart I will piece it all together again and make a new start I will fly high once more setting the very air itself aflame This trial of pain I'll pass through I will win my life's game I've sailed through oceans of emotions that made me retch But I've rediscovered my wings now watch me as I stretch The waves that battered against me all through this storm Are fading from my memory and I will keep myself warm The black storm clouds that threatened to dim my sight Will retreat from my soul releasing me from the dark night My sails may be tattered and hanging there in torn strips But I will find my path of destiny, I will feel loves soft lips I will rise up and my heart will be renewed, I'll seal the hole The pain I'll beat, this baptism of fire makes me whole Within the pits of despair I was chained but I've broken free And now here's an amazing thing for I've recovered the lost me My soul was tormented and crying out in the dark with pain And just as suddenly some sunshine invaded my world again The promises of love and light enraptured my soul and heart Light came in and convinced my spirit not to die or fall apart Now I'm gathering my strength and reassembling my sad soul The scattered pieces of myself I'll seek, I'll fulfill my new role I will place my feet on my path and find the steps to dance And my heart, my soul and me too will have another chance Marsha Take back the hope you gave,- I claim Only a memory of the same Robert Browning [This message has been edited by Marsha (edited 01-10-2001).] |

Inot2B, thank you, yes that's me determined, and full of perserverence. No one can keep us down if we are convinced we should rise. (Thank you Sven, for the reminder!) We all have the means to release ourselves we just have to seize the challenge. Take care love Mushy  VAS, thank you love, I was going for a visual effect, in this, and I hope it worked. As long as it pleased you then I am pleased. Take care Mushy Sven dear heart, always you encourage me love, and inspire me to stretch my wings a little. There didn't I say you can't keep a bubble down for long. Insubstantial I may be, a poetic light weight most definitely, and full of insouciance, but at least I'm amusing. Mark my friend, oh yes never will I be held back again, I shall walk my path, in my way, and if anyone wishes to walk beside me then they are welcome.
