When Night Comes
By Richard Maxfield
7-16-2000

When night comes
Heartbreak falls
I find myself
Against the wall

My soul cries out
In acing pain
Longing for love
Yet once again

Lonely in the dark
I think of love
Warmth of a wife
From heaven above

Where are you my love
Come running to me
Forever in my arms
Love’s dawn we’ll see

Even though I don’t know
Who you might be
I love you forever
This you’ll see

My heart is yours
For eternity to keep
Dream in daytime
Thinking of you in sleep

I’m waiting, wanting
Only for you
What more can
This lonely man do
