Listening to every heart

My Mind, Forever Young

In thin scripted lines of written poetry
there is a yearning for times long past;
when hearts of men were there to see,
when love was but the question asked.

Not the caressing of persons shared
but more of when the minds are paired,
when tongues drip words of sweet desire
sharing a lover's speech in honeyed mire.

To have one gaze longingly into my soul
and find it timeless in its whole,
looking past aged wrinkles and fine lines
one treasures, forever young, my mind.

With the mind, love might forever cease
when thoughts turn ugly, love's decreased;
but when fertile thoughts of love unwinds
one treasures, forever young, my mind.

Memories never fade, but softly linger,
held in one's stroke, sweet grasp of finger
never wintry or arthritic in its touch
forever young, my mind holds much.

Amazing, what thoughts can render
when shared with others forever young,
cryptic messages to love's sender,
memories of loves' sweetness thus be sung.

Nay, I'll not stop this aging process
of widening hips and flattening chest
nay, I'll hold poems close to my breast
forever young, my mind is best.

Sometimes I don't know if it's a blessing or a curse that our minds and bodies don't age at the same rate...but I do agree that minds always remain beautiful and should always be recognized as such....

Wonderful, as always, Sunshine....

As I try to recognize the old codger in the bathroom mirror - while my mind is still doing break dances and singing along with those youngsters on my radio - I applaud - most heartily ~G~ - well said!

With the years my eyesight is not as good. Boy am I glad! Never do I wear glasses when I look in the mirror. If I have wrinkles so be it, doesn't mean I want to see them.
May your mind always be young.

I truly related to this emotionally for some reason.

"Not the caressing of persons shared
but more of when the minds are paired,
when tongues drip words of sweet desire
sharing a lover's speech in honeyed mire"

This stanza gave me chills. I write about this a lot, the sensuality of two minds. Very nice.

Kari love, you will always be Persephone, ageless, eternally young, eternally spring. And this is utterly utterly wonderful dear heart. So the link is? Come on class pay attention, between Persephone and the Phoenix, don't go for the obvious.
I really and truly love this love, this should have been on the list, but I wasn't here then. (Please Kari love, bring up all the one's I've never seen, you don't want me to have to come and get them now do you   )
Wonderful love
Take care love

Kari dear heart two names two chances at least to send this around again, and how convenient is this to have the chance of two libraries. Yes!
Absolutely fabulous, and utterly timeless.
Really love this one dear heart

so should Bev de Bump sing off in a different way? No I think not
Love as always
                 take care

Now pucker off to the top of the front page

And while thy willing soul transpires
At every pore with instant fire

A dear friend of mine told me just the other day that he can't ever imagine that I'd act "old".... He's right... I'd say you have that same attitude...

Waft every crest upon your destined sea.
Embrace the Wave of Serendipity,
Lest its elusive arcane ecstasy
Refurl with sail for all eternity.
