Only But a Beam of Light

Once the mist has disappeared
When the air has all been cleared
You can see the mountain’s rim
Gleaming sun on snow-filled brim

Glorious majestic height
In the smooth of snowy white
Beams the sunset through a wedge
In horizon’s crescent edge

This is but a ray of hope
Slicing past the frozen slope
It’s the dream to which I cling
Until the thawing of the spring

Everyone should have in sight
Only but a beam of light
A dream to seek while anchored fast
And waiting til the season's passed

You knew, Lady Santos, that this one would be treasured by many, but especially by one...

A beam of light as an anchor to hold on to...
I see clearly the hope in this beautiful poem. Wonderful writing as usual!

I see the beams and will hold steadfastly to the hope it gives.

Liz,

I agree with you 100%.  That little beam of light reflects the ray of hope that always exists even in the most dismal of situations.  Well said!

This is beautiful, everyone should have a hope..yes, it's true.

THank you, fellow dreamers, for clinging to a beam of light with me. I appreciate your comments
