Look Within

Look within a flower can you see where she keeps her scent
And if you listen to an answer why do you ask what it meant
Where do rainbows go when they fade away from out the sky
What is the real meaning when my heart now questions why
Shouldn't I take love on trust and just hope that things will be
Or should I always enquire before I embrace loves beauty
Didn't I see beyond the sparkle of loves star dusted dreams
Or shouldn't I question loves seemingly careless schemes

Peer into the mist and catch a glimpse of a unicorn flying past
Or if you miss the sight can you tell where it was standing last
If truth is always real why do lies feel so sweet when they sigh
Or if I ignore this truth for how much longer will my heart cry
Should I face the consequences of only looking with my heart
Or should I tell myself it's time and past to make a new start
Could my spirit have heard a different singer singing loves song
Or would I have found it easier if I'd known love faded all along

If moonbeams dance in my eyes and I heard the angels call me
And rainbows scattered dreams why can't I live forever in beauty
To awake from a dream is very hard when the dream is so warm
And it hurts so that I almost wish that this love hadn't been born
But then I'd never have heard the sounds of wonder or delight
I'd never have seen the stars dancing or felt the heat of night
Memories are precious they'll stay forever threading my days
When love calls to me again I pray that this time she stays

Sven love, I thank you as always, I know she will come again, you know me optimistic as always. And when she does, I know I shall be the better for having lived without her for a little while. (Absence supposedly makes the the heart grow fonder   )
Thank you as always love
Take care

Marsha, this is you at your slushy Mushy best, your heart is radiant with Phoenix fire. Rise up and take your place amongst sisters of the Phoenix, no longer are you Cinderella and soon your prints oops prince will come.
write on in song

Wonderfully expressed from your heart my friend.  It is when you quit wondering and asking questions that all is lost so never be afraid to go in search of new answers.  Very well written though it is sad.  I hope you find your rainbow soon.

When love returns, rainbows no longer fade into  the sunset...and no more scatterd dreams. Ah, the hope of love, hang on for the real thing!
Great heartfelt poem you write.
