I Stand Before You Naked
By Richard Maxfield
2-10-2000

I stand before you naked
Striped of all pride
The best I have to offer you
Is what I am inside

Just a man
As God created me to be
An imperfect human
I am what you see

I make mistakes
Each and every day
I strive to learn
Do better in every way

I can tell you something
About what makes me tick
The simple things in life
For me do the trick

God, family and friends
Is where my heart is at
As long as I have these things
On which to hang my hat

Morals, love and kindness
Are traits in which I believe
I work each day to my best
Until these things I achieve

Loyalty, forgiveness and honesty
Are ways in which I live
They are the best presents
Any one can give

When I am gone
I hope each one can say
There was a man
Who lived his best each day

Shame on you. You will do or say anything just so you can take off your clothes. LOL

"When I am gone
I hope each one can say
There was a man
Who lived his best each day"

No greater honor can be given than to have this said when your life is complete.

Sounds as though you're a very well balanced man Richard.

Wonderful poem, and may you live life at it's fullest!

Richard love, this is soooooooo good, it's truly astounding. Absolutely superb, and don't you know that is all any of us want someone willing to be a naked and unashamed man.
Really wonderful love, and you know this is in my library don't you love?
Take care

Take back the hope you gave,- I claim
Only a memory of the same

Yes, it would be terrifying to stand before someone naked.  In doing that we reveal everything. Sometimes our words do that and yours are clothed in fine linen.< !signature-->
