Regretfully I took your hand,
After the first taste,
And let you lead me,
The remainder of the night.
Staring empty,
Into your sparkling liquid face,
But never once stopping to think,
How in the morning,
I would think about,
How my will didn't stand,
Against taking the wrong path.
You loosened my will,
And stole away with it,
Like some mad theif,
With the power to make my mind spin.
You felt so good in my hands,
Your outward cover, cold,
Your enthralling warmth,
Inside of me.
At least you didn't make me dance,
And I didn't relinquish,
Total control of my tongue to you,
For you knew that well moved to,
It would have told the things,
It had long been needing to tell.
Sad secrets of revelation,
In the wrong hands,
Would obliterate my ability to fix things.
I thank you though,
You proved my shield for the night,
As I cowered beneath your cover,
While sitting there with him,
Face to face,
Once again I couldn't tell him,
About all those doubts,
Banging around inside my heart these days.

Can I be your willful breeze,
Come to touch,
Your heart to ease?

Wow, this is a captivating, brilliant, and intriguing piece, you've written Temptress and it flowed very well too.....and the imagery was very well done too! Great job!

Hello Temptress,

How clever to see that the intoxication was your shield and use it to your advantage.  It was really you dealing with you though, not in you dealing with him that you write about.  Good insight!

Nate Dogg:
Thank you. I always try so hard for the imagery.

Sven:
There are many feelings in it, and at the same time...only one. Just a simple battle with myself. Its been a while since I've drank.

Stan:
You may be right. Thank you for reading!

Can I be your willful breeze,
Come to touch,
Your heart to ease?
