Cast Away My life, I saw, just cast away, all drowned with moments word. Waves of screams crashed, in my mind, lost feelings crested, heard. Remembering, years worth of tears, Racked body with neglect. Touching, nil, the kiss of death Reigned ill with his "reflect". "Only words", as thoughts would rise explaining, not forthwith. Five years, he lied...or so he says had believed it all, my myth. Loved me, no it wasn't I... who caused his suffering, pain. Lies collected, now insured from loving, I'll abstain. Yes waters, deepened, in cast away, floating, rescue awaits... Flooded thoughts, give rising to what loneliness dictates........ ~Wynter "The worst prison would be a closed heart". ...Pope John Paul II |

Yes waters, deepened, in cast away, floating, rescue awaits... Flooded thoughts, give rising to what loneliness dictates........ The last two lines are a real stinger. Alot of heart ache and emotion in this poem, very well written. Take care, thanks for sharing. thank you Brian...I happened to have seen Cast Away last night with Tom Hanks and I was recalling one of the first dates I had with my husband when I was pushed into deep waters, and didn't know how to swim and he, being a lifeguard, saved me from drowning..and how the cycle is repeating itself...only this time he is the one holding me under....
