There is an evening soon coming,
That awaits my favors.
It calls me away,
To lands where I know,
Only the mystery of the shadows.
Bound by all the sleepless boundaries,
I go blindly,
Letting my faith in its inspiration,
Guide me through with sure hands.

If I ride by night,
To your doorstep,
Would you then come to greet me?
And smiling,
Would you step away with me,
For the sake of passion?

If I come by day,
Would you slumber with me,
In such odd hours,
So that we might meet our fate,
In the rush of winter wind,
And the cloak of shadowing cover

While speaking...
Might I hear your voice,
Tuned with mine?
While speaking,
Our voices tuned together,
How would we then dance?
For the night follows,
An arrangement of notes,
Only known to the truest ears.

Among the imposters who call themselves,
Lovers of the night,
Shall we then stand,
Declaring our leadership,
And rule,
In a land that seemed created only,
For us?

Take my hand now,
If indeed we have truly met.

Take my heart now,
If by wonders untold you could.

Take my words now
An offering to you.

Have me now,
A part of me belongs to your will.

Can I be your willful breeze,
Come to touch,
Your heart to ease?

A beautifully written poem, loved it, and could hear my own sweet heart uttering such words to me and I responding with the same words.

It's in your eyes a fire that's wild and glorious
Unhibited, unfinished in everything I do Let the morning rise like our hearts desire" whipping boy

This is a wonderfully introspectively pensive piece, Temptress... Nicely done..

TemptyOne~
I really enjoyed this thought~

'How would we then dance?
For the night follows,
An arrangement of notes,
Only known to the truest ears.'

Ahhhh !  And would-be lovers make their own music.
