Into the bright, unblinking light,
I aright our Balladeer.
His words of play, sent this way,
Are, pray, too often read in here.

He writes so young with silver tongue,
(In some hopes of adoration)
Of loving bliss and stolen kiss
Amidst each woman's adulation.

But neathe it all awaits his fall,
He's called to sweetheart Frannie.
He'll meet his maker, don't mistake her,
He won't shake her with his planning.

Til Fran's trap springs upon his wings,
He'll sing to each Passions flower.
His crafted words, like hummingbirds,
Will gird their honey as his dower.

Whilst honored men, with forlorn pen,
Defend these lovely maidens.
Balladeer, with Hamelin cheer,
Draws nearer with his cadence.

So please beware, you maidens fair,
For 'Deer grazes in your glen.
With Balladeer, it's crystal clear,
He's near a devil amongst us men.

heh heh - That oughta slow that wicked, wicked boy down a bit

LngJhnAg love, I hate to admit it but I really love this. (And since I adore 'Deer   it seems frightfully disloyal) this is really wonderfully written, and I have a great big smile. Which today of all days I could do with.

Alack, alas *pulling at my hair in grief*  Why can't you ladies see that only I should be trusted to gather your honey?  *oops*

Star-Girl - Thank you very much for the love and hugs.  Do you see that, Balladeer?  Startime loves ME.

Marsha - You havin' a bad day, Hon?  C'mere, lemme give you a big hug *grope, hug, squeeze... oooo yeah*.  I won't take adavantage of you like that devil Balladeer *more gropes and hugs*

Belle - LMAO*silver hair - You have the finest, sharpest wit!  I always enjoy your responses (except those over-the-top responses to that scalawag Toerag)

Serenity - OMG@petting zoo!  That is pure classic!  I love it!  Yanno, though, if I was in your zoo, I'd let you ride me - to heck with this lame petting stuff!  lol

Karilea - Glass houses?  moi?  Surely you recognize that the difference between Balladeer and me is that I am pure and innocent.  Surely you see that?  heh heh - I think she's falling for it, ol' Long John.  Now, pour it on and she'll be all yours  I am here to protect you and make you the most special person in the whole, wide, beautiful world.  Hugs Easy, LJA, don't pour it on too thick or lil Sunshine might get suspicious.

love your sense of humor but your timing is off. Didn't you read "The Flirt"?  And don't you know the best defense is a good offense!

if a sweet lass should ever fall for you
it wouldn't be for the tall of you
nor for the very all of you
but more likely for the gall of you...

for in your ever-maddening way
you help the breeze with your sway...

ROTFLMAO

uh oh....methinks I've done it now...

LJA,
there's lots of special poems here
but yours is something rare
you use humor and not fear
to show you really care
but don't you worry don't you fret
about you missing out
some loving here, you yet may get
fore Lorelei, gives you such a clout
people love your humor, they also love your wit
don't stress if they sometimes tell you, to go and 'sit on it!"
we know that you're a charmer too
it's just we are so frightened
that you and Deer will have a blue (fight for the non Aussies)
then how will our mood be lightened.

Good one John   That's telling 'im.

Ps I'm very cross with you, you ask for action. I post an instant replay in 8 parts but did you read it Noooo! Some people are so hard to please.

NOW NOW!! Stop picking on Balladeer!

Dear John, what's really your problem my dear
that you haven't the charm of Balladeer
ah... you haven't his silver tongue I see
and you're missing his magic and glee
oh he gives you devilish inspiration
now you would give us another imagination
but honey you have failed right there
cause I will defend Deer everywhere
ah...that is what you were up too
well ok..now I have seen your real you.

LJA
I'm sure Deer can himself defend
but let me tell you (as a friend)
although you plot and schmooze and grin
this is one battle you can't win
the ladies never, never will fall
into your arms,no not at all
as long as Balladeer lives and breathes
your image rates as  monkeys to trees
with you as the monkey him as the oak
so you needn't bother this quarrel to stoke
you know you'll be whupped, so make amends now
remember Deer still has, his flatulent  cow
if that poem was to turn and talk about you
we'd have to stay her,e till with laughing turned blue

Write on but not too TIC

I always know when I have that scalawag on the run - he starts acting nonchalant as he plots his riposte.  Usually, he say some self-serving remark, and then he'll disappear for awhile.  heh - He's as predictable as a woman!

Long John,
How predictable is a woman? And how can YOU tell what a woman's going to do?

Why, thank you all - every one of you for your support of my poetic talents.  Now, you must be sure to tone it down or 'Deer will strain his only muscle - heh.
