i am a shy introvert in an exuberant exterior
i wonder how people think of me
i hear the devil imploring me to rebel
i see my memories, reminding me of who i am
i want to seek true uncorrupted happiness
i am a shy introvert in an exuberant exterior

i pretend i am a star basking in the center stage
i feel uncertainty engulf my existence
i touch sacred words, allowing them to heal
i worry this sheltered froggie might never experience life
i cry for the lies we are dealing with daily
i am a shy introvert in an exuberant exterior

i understand that you reap what you sow
i say life is what we make of it
i dream about making a difference
i try to be sincere and honest
i hope to break the confines of my barriers one day, for
i am a shy introvert in an exuberant exterior

kaile...this is great...you turned this into a personal creed. And I love the "use" of lower case i--indicating small interior voice...terrific job with this...

i worry this sheltered froggie might never experience life

I related very strongly to that. Again, great job!

Kaile,
An honset introspection, presonifying the struggles of innocent youth, struggling to make a way into this corrupt world, while hanging onto integrity, and making a difference. Hold on to your ideals my friend!
