Pieces of a puzzle lying scattered on the floor,
wait to be united in a frame…
But in this tale, the missing piece eludes us evermore…
And no one is at fault, or is to blame…

There are pieces of our lives that never fit the norm…
We work around them, wishing them away…
While days are spent in endless effort, trying to conform…
And learning rules to games we’re forced to play…

But once upon a great, great while, you lose a vital piece…
which throws your ordered life into the wind…
You tread the waters, waiting for this new chaos to cease,
but when it does, you find you’re at “The End”!

The pieces of the puzzle have been left upon the floor…
Left to be forgotten in the dust…
Until two other hearts arrive to make love whole once more,
the pieces lie there, scattered, as they must…

Dear Ms Twinkle-eyes

I so enjoy seeing your thoughts in a style and rhythm where the meter carries the reader along and the message is packaged in a lovely synthesis of idea and form.  And the idea here is one of a complex thought beautifully portrayed.

Evening Sunny,

Such wisdom you have in that soft heart of yours. And what you have said, I find very true, very true indeed.

Sunny I loved these lines

"The pieces of the puzzle have been left upon the floor…
Left to be forgotten in the dust…
Until two other hearts arrive to make love whole once more,
the pieces lie there, scattered, as they must…"

What an alternative to dusting.  Wow, thank you for this one.

I am but a leftover piece of the puzzle, but I am together enough to know this is a fantastic poem.
Very, very good, loved it.

love can be a puzzle some times,

You tread the waters, waiting for this new chaos to cease,
but when it does, you find you’re at “The End”!

Wonderful write.

And we all know that your pieces are all to one of them 3-dimensional puzzles.  This was a fantasic write sis.  You know I love it when you reach down and pull one out of your puzzle box of a heart.
