The Ebb Of You
~*Marge Tindal*~

Waves caress the sandy shore
Rolling over footprints we left
Lapping your memories gently at my feet
Ripples of your lost love leaves me bereft

Waters flowing against the current
Everlasting pull of the ebbing tide
Returning to pound my heart
As the first wave of you bids me goodbye

This is lovely, Marge... and reminds me of so many walks along the beach... where only a portion of the salt water that dampened me was from the waves. *S*

I read you Marge - I always enjoy - but some - like this - are so very exceptional - they deserve accolades beyond my power to write - Please accept my wish that you see my paltry  words in that light

this tore at my heart!

Have you noticed that the tide always comes back again.  The trick is for the same wave to catch you by the ankles on it's return trip.  Beautifully written my friend and so like you to make me draw on some of my own memories.  I love it when you write like this.
